INNOVIM is seeking IT Security Specialists I, II to support our NCEI Data Stewardship contract. Job Description:

IT SECURITY SPECIALIST I Assists in the maintenance of systems to protect data from unauthorized users. Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision and guidance.

IT SECURITY SPECIALIST II Assists in the maintenance of systems to protect data from unauthorized users. Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision

Educational Requirements: BS/BA

Experience Requirements:

• IT Security Specialist I: 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• IT Security Specialist II: 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Experienced with working in a SAFe methodology.

NCEI is headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina. This position may be worked remotely.
