About the role:
FDM Group is looking to build on its internal IT Security capabilities based in either London, Leeds or Glasgow. The position is a hybrid role whereby there will be exposure to many different technologies and IT functions. Daily duties will range from monitoring security systems to agile IT security project implementations.
You will work within the information security team and alongside the infrastructure engineers - playing a crucial role in the protection and resiliency of the firm.
You will be an escalation point for the information Security team to implement security controls and look to work alongside the 3rd line engineers to evergreen the infrastructure and improve practices where possible.
The successful candidate will need to ensure they are competent enough to handle all duties and responsibilities from start to finish as a principle expert in this area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor security solutions and vulnerability management tools
- Manage and implement cloud technologies
- Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT Security operations
- Continued improvement and development of incident and response
- Audit systems and controls and assess their outcomes
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions
- Establish, build and grow relationships with internal FDM staff through effective communication, consistency and the provision of a highly professional service
- Ensure work is carried out in line with FDM policies and practices
- Liaise with 3rd party providers/suppliers as required
- Create technical documentation
- Ensure IT assets are managed and audited
- Carry out field visits to other sites, and any new sites being established; be it temporary or permanent
- Work on IT security projects which involve various stakeholders in the business

- Adaptable, flexible and willing to dedicate time outside of normal business hours when needed
- Experience of working in ticket-based environment such as Zendesk / Service Now etc.
- Good time and workload management skills specifically with the ability to prioritize, work to SLAs and take responsibility for own work
Adept skillset in the following technologies is essential:
- Passion for information Security
- Experience with NDR and EDR solutions
- Exchange and Active Directory
- Windows Server OS
- Office 365 administration
- Microsoft Intune
- Firewall and Proxies
- VMWARE
- AZURE/AWS/ Cloud services
Desirable but not essential:
- Certified to CySA+, OSCP, CEH, SC-300 (or similar)
