An exciting opportunity to use your information and knowledge skills to deliver digital decision support tools that bring evidence to the fingertips of staff across Scotland’s health and social care.
You will play a key role in Healthcare Improvement Scotland’s new Decision Support team, which leads delivery of Scotland’s national decision support service. In this role you will be in the vanguard of embedding evidence in digital transformation of health and care. You will create and facilitate use of digital tools for evidence-based decisions which optimise use of available resource; reduce unwarranted variation, harm and waste; and strengthen the focus on outcomes that matter to people.
The programme is part funded by the Scottish Government Effective Prescribing and Therapeutics Division and has a key focus on delivering quality prescribing decision support tools.
Educated to Masters Level or equivalent related experience, you will apply your health information expertise to source evidence, organise information, and collaborate with health and social care professionals. This will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex information to various stakeholders, aided by a good working knowledge of IT products (i.e. MS Office, searching bibliographic databases and reference management software). Training will be provided on the Decision Support tools being used.
Please state clearly whether you are considering full or part time in your application.
