Job description
The post holder will provide support for the Trust’s Information Assurance Team; specifically, this role encompasses support for our information governance and assurance systems, enabling continuous quality improvement and external assurance of key business processes. You will play a key role in ensuring that the systems and processes support high quality and safe patient care.
Through working in partnership with the colleagues across Informatics & Digital the post holder will;
- Support the Information Assurance Team to enable continuous quality improvement and external assurance.
- Assist the Information Assurance Team in encouraging staff and people engagement in key processes and programmes, extending to relationship building across the Trust.
- Often be the first line of contact for staff seeking assistance on all matters to do with information assurance processes, including the development and submission for review of Trust wide business processes, and developing supporting processes, including within relevant IT packages.
- Assist the team in defining the information needs in order to monitor quality governance processes and effectiveness across the Trust.
- Help to develop and maintain inter-divisional and corporate Quality Governance Team relationships to ensure that information assurance projects are progressed in accordance with the relevant Trust policy and Trust values
The post holder will audit compliance against the Information Governance elements of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit assertions across the Group and will be a key member of the Information Assurance team, devising and delivering assurance programmes based on compliance audit cycles regarding Group compliance.
To support the Information Assurance agenda; support the NCA to meet internal and external targets, producing formal compliance and exception reports.
To support the development and review of core policies, standards, procedures and staff guidance relating to Information Governance across the NCA
Support devising an audit programme and conducting audits to review compliance across the Group, creating thematic and exception reports.
Ensure that findings and actions from compliance audits are followed up and in a timely manner.
Ensure Information Governance elements of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit are evidenced within the annual submission and that these are closely monitored throughout the year.
Communicate with all levels of staff including senior staff in the organisation in relation to data protection, confidentiality and privacy matters.
In your role you will manage the administration of information assurance committees and short life working groups, ensuring that these are well governed and with effective communication with those involved in their conduct.
