About The Role
**
The Knowledge Management Team (Library) are currently looking for a new team member. You will have strong team-working and interpersonal skills, and a capacity to carry out routine work quickly, methodically and to a high standard. You will be a confident user of IT, with a willingness to further develop your skills in this area. With excellent customer service skills, you will be liaising with colleagues across the firm’s offices often via Teams or email. Experience of working within a library or law firm setting would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.
The Knowledge Management Team is an expanding team who help Partners and Fee Earners access the legal information they need by providing them with access to our online resources, electronic and print texts and periodicals, as well as sourcing information from third parties on their behalf. Our help ranges from resetting a password to providing training on how to use our resources, to applying to external suppliers for specialist content.
Based in Northampton and reporting to the Head of Library and Knowledge Management Services we are open to a hybrid working pattern, but you must be able to work from the Northampton office for at least three days a week.
Responsibilities to include:
- Responding to help requests on using and accessing our legal databases and resources
- Supporting users in using the resources provided by the Knowledge Management Team
- Assisting in creating and updating user guides and resource documents (under the guidance of the Head of Team)
- Assisting in creating newsletters and updates for our intranet site
- Creating and updating spreadsheets to aid in the administration of our resources
- Some spreadsheet analysis to aid usage statistic reporting
- Assist in the circulation of print text and journals and filing of looseleaf updates
- Undertake routine administrative tasks for the team
About You
**
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience of working in a client facing environment
- Excellent IT skills including good knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
- The ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately
- Good organisational skills
- Experience in working in a library or law firm is preferable, but not essential
