About the job
Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council is looking for an Information and Solutions Team Leader, who will also act as the Council’s Data Protection Officer. You will either be a Data Protection Officer already, or you will be an experienced team leader with GDPR, land charges and/or complaints handling experience.
This is an excellent and rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated team leader to work closely with the Head of Legal and Democratic Services to develop a new team that will be responsible for handling land charges and statutory information requests, organisational GDPR compliance and Stage 2 complaints handling in a timely, effective and pragmatic way. Operating the latest digital case management systems, you will also help the Executive Management Team and Heads of Service derive organisational learning from information request and complaints data, and play a central part in driving continuous service improvement as a result.
As well as a competitive remuneration and benefits package, you can expect a friendly, supportive and flexible working environment in a modern council that is committed to empowering and enabling our staff so that we can all work together to perform well and get things done.
