Industrial Placement - Capital Analyst (Manufacturing)

Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Capital Analyst Placement Student to join our team specializing in capital analysis for our Global Manufacturing Engineering Team for Cummins Turbo Technologies in Huddersfield, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Supporting the capital process by working with cross functional worldwide teams to establish the annual and five-year capital plan for Cummins Turbo Technologies
• Assisting the Capital Manager to run internal systems to maintain clear and accurate knowledge of current capital expenditure status, coordinating weekly input from finance entities worldwide
• Assisting the Capital Manager to review and collate the capital forecast process
• Answering to short notice capital requirements to create reports for stakeholders whilst undertaking longer term analysis to spot trends, vulnerabilities, and opportunities
• Understanding new business requirements and making improvements on benchmarked processes
• Taking opportunities to make a difference in our business and communities whilst embracing an inclusive working environment

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Be studying a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business-related subject
• Intermediate level of Excel as well as competent in other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills with experience of handling large quantities of data
• Excellent time management and organisational skills combined with strong written and verbal communication skills to work alongside our diverse, global team
