Job description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in compiling labor cost data to help manage existing and future operational or production activities.
- Prepare feasibility studies relevant to capital expenditures for components of new processes. Perform basic cost studies and ergonomic analyses to support recommendations. Share data with more senior engineers.
- Assist Intermediate Industrial Engineer in compiling labor and material cost estimates for new equipment.
- May mentor and support non-exempt technicians
- Utilize ergonomic analysis to develop safest methods and layout of workspace.
- Determine most effective work methods for components of operations or production and recommend improvements and changes.
- Design workplace layout and assist in determining cost of improvements.
Compile and assimilate data related to components of operational or production processes.
- Determine standard time for each operation using time study analysis of motion patterns.
- Establish standard data for operations or production.
- Maintain current labor standards.
Share engineered standards and ergonomic information with employees.
- Communicate changes in standards to leadership.
- Work with employees upon the implementation of new standards and ergonomic improvements.
- Serve as a resource to supervision in addressing questions and concerns related to standards and ergonomics.

Education Level: 4-Year Bachelors Degree
Skills and Qualifications:
- BSIE/BSIT or other engineering degree required
- Some applicable Industrial Engineering experience
- Strength in applying Industrial Engineering practices and methodologies
- Strength in understanding operations decisions and impacts to changes
- Some understanding of financial impacts to business decisions
- Basic project management experience
- Demonstrated effective relationship and team building skills
- Demonstrated success delivering results with focus on process effectiveness
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
