The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating flavourful and aromatic Indian dishes, dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards, and eager to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic kitchen environment.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, with a focus on curries and tandoor items, using traditional techniques and modern innovations.Create and execute menu items that reflect the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine while meeting customer preferences and dietary requirements.Collaborate with fellow chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations, timely food preparation, and an exceptional dining experience.Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.Monitor and manage inventory levels, assist with ordering ingredients, and minimize food wastage.Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing expertise and fostering a positive learning environment.Participate in menu development, suggesting new ideas and flavours to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.Qualifications:Previous experience as an Indian Chef, with a proven track record of creating exceptional curry and tandoor dishes.In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional variations.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are a plus.High standards of food hygiene and safety practices.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: Up to £27,000.00 per yearBenefits:Discounted or free foodSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Kidlington: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Work Location: In personReference ID: 2022022
