Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to £29,344 per annum (inclusive of Inner London Weighting allowance)

Can you take responsibility for ensuring that all donations received at our UK central office in London, are banked in line with regulated practices?

About this opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, charity minded individual to join our income processing team based in London. The team were operating throughout the pandemic to ensure that our supporter’s donations were opened and banked and are key to the success of our fundraising. It’s an important role, especially at times of emergency when we need to ensure that we get the money to where it is needed as quickly as possible.

How you can make a difference

Every journey starts with a donation. We are a small team working as one, to ensure we meet the complex needs of our supporters. This means that we don’t only open and bank, but we analyse, we respond, and we care about what our supporters are telling us.

It’s a varied role, primarily office based as dealing with postal responses, but with some opportunity for hybrid working and flexibility around hours of work.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Opening, batching, and banking donations as part of our Fundraising Operations Team
  • Dealing with payment queries and raising concerns in line with our serious incidents policy
  • Data processing to ensure all our gifts are accounted for and where eligible, gift aided
  • General donor administration including managing mailing preferences and letters

*

This might be for you if…

  • You have passion – you care about the detail and want to make sure our supporters have the best experience from the very beginning of their journey with us
  • You are organised – you are efficient in your approach to work and are able to drive forward at pace when the pressure and volumes are high
  • You are a team player – recognising the impact of your work on others and willing to work as one to achieve shared goals
  • You understand financial processes – and the need to maintain clear audit trails and work in a regulated way
