The vacancy

Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week 9am -5pm, Monday -Friday/ 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)

The role

We are currently looking to recruit a full time Income Administrator on a fixed term contact for 5 months.

Within the role you will be responsible for covering all aspects of payments including direct debits, benefits and other payments into the business in relation to rents and service charges.

The role holder will ensure accurate, complete, timely processing and maintenance of all agreed activities. Encompassing – management and administration of tenant’s direct debits, housing benefits entitlements & contributions, rent transfers, queries, refunds, tenancy set up/amendments, former tenants’ arrears and overpayments, universal credit portal, legal administration support, raising of sublet invoices. Support to operations and other stakeholders.

You will be responsible to ensure that each contact receives a seamless service that is supported by an accountable and customer focussed approach. Where appropriate to direct contact to Operational colleagues reflecting the devolved model of “My court- My business”

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements for the role include:

  • Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment and delivery of excellent customer service
  • Has experience of working in the housing sector
  • Has working knowledge of the benefits system- HB and UC
  • Track record of delivering services to meet customers’ needs
  • Confidentiality and data protection legislation
  • Experience working with complex systems solutions with numerous interfaces from feeder systems
  • GCSEs (including Maths and English) at Grade C or above
