About the opportunity

Our Inclusive Design team in London are seeking a number of Inclusive Design Professionals to help deliver our operational growth plan that requires specialist input to develop solutions to various challenges at all project stages, and on a variety of projects internationally. The Inclusive Design team at Jacobs is made up of a broad range of technical specialisms including; architecture, town planning, data and analytics, building engineering, transport planning and user experience/ in operation. We are keen to hear from professionals with transport and human factors backgrounds in particular.

We adopt a unique technical, engineering-based approach to delivering a built environment that works for the maximum range of people. Informed by research, data and evidence, we deliver solutions that are relevant and future proofed. We go beyond ‘access for disabled people’ to seamlessly meet the requirements of a diverse population, within our projects.

Building on the existing capability within Jacobs, our innovative inclusive design team input into the company’s future pipeline of UK based and international work, in addition to undertaking standalone inclusive design work. We seek additional strategic thinking inclusive design professionals who can demonstrate passion, flair and expertise, who will report to the Head of Inclusive Design.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Recognised expertise in the discipline, and a proven track record advising on inclusive design and working with key stakeholders, clients, and organisations.
  • Pragmatic passion for innovation and futureproofing developments.
  • A good working knowledge of UK and European legislation.
  • Experience of working with data, research and evidence to inform and develop solutions.
  • Where relevant transport or human factors qualifications and accreditation.
  • Have achieved or be working towards NRAC consultant level accreditation.
  • The drive and passion to push forwards and progress inclusive design on a large scale.
