Incident Handler
London
As a Barclays Incident Handler, you will be a vital member of a team who acts as the focal point for all security related escalations, operational coordination, and incident management. You will plan and co-ordinate a large scale security incident response effort, involving multiple functions, operational teams and front-line customer facing businesses.

What will you be doing?
• Identifying and implementing necessary tasks within your area of responsibility, while working within a global multifunctional department
- Writing and delivering both written and verbal briefings regarding incidents to a variety of audiences, including non-technical, across the organization
- Supporting and leading reviews of critical security incident processes and procedures with a view to driving improvements
- Developing good collaborative relationships with all stakeholders
- Delivering recommendations and actions to improve the detection, escalation, containment and resolution of security incidents
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements
What we’re looking for:
• Confident, with the ability to remain calm, controlled and focused during high pressured situations
- Knowledge of incident management tools such as; ServiceNow, X-Matters, Everbridge, Silobreaker
- A working knowledge of how a layered defence and intelligence driven defence works
- A working knowledge of Risk Management and the part that controls play in a security posture of an organisation
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Ability to identify operational risks and issues in a fast time environment, and take proportionate and appropriate actions
- Previous experience working in a large multinational organisation with colleagues and stakeholders based in multiple / remote locations
- Previous experience in a Security Control Room environment

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
