Job description

A exciting opportunity has become available within the Unipart Security Department for a Licensed Security Officer to join our in-house team in Canley, Coventry.

Successful applicants will be guaranteed a minimum of 45 hours per week (providing an annual basic salary of £27,167.40) and work Monday to Friday from 1430 to 2330 hours.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide a courteous, professional and welcoming atmosphere for all clients, their representatives and visitors to the company.
  • Provide security for 'People, Product & Property' at all times.
  • Conduct regular searches of site staff, contractors and/or visitors.
  • Conduct regular internal and external site patrols.
  • Conduct gatehouse duties – seal checks, booking vehicles in/out on PC, vehicle searches, communicating site rules to drivers.
  • Reporting of incidents and completing relevant reports
  • Report any H&S breaches and/or concerns.
  • CCTV monitoring and footage reviews / investigations.
  • Assist with fire alarm tests and site evacuations.
  • Respond to fire and/or intruder alarms where required.
  • Issue and control staff and visitor access cards.
  • Meet the requirements of the site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential requirements for this role are:

  • A valid SIA license.
  • A 5-year checkable history.
