Job description
Richmond Group was founded in 1999 around a kitchen table by self-made serial entrepreneur, James, with £100 and a simple goal: to stop working in dead end jobs and do something meaningful. Today our assets are over £500m.
Now we build and fund start-ups and are seeking a smart and driven individual to assist us with our legal matters. As an In-house Legal Researcher/Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to learn on the job and see the impact of your work immediately.
Your responsibilities will include drafting contracts, policies, and reviewing complex paperwork. You will work with external legal counsel (where appropriate) to advise us on how to structure deals, our options in adverse situations, and highlight key points in contracts. You will also be expected to think like an entrepreneur and have a commercial understanding of where the line is between what we can and cannot do.
We welcome applicants with a background in law at an undergraduate level or at least 6 months of experience in corporate or commercial law.
What we think you’ll need:
- An ability to self-learn, whatever you do you want to excel at and are constantly looking at ways to improve.
- Ambition, if you don’t see work as a fundamental part of your life this probably isn’t the job for you.
- Grit, we have high expectations and you need the ability to stick at a problem, we never said this would be easy.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- An openness to feedback and a drive to improve.
What we offer in return:
- An awesome team (company culture is VERY important to us!)
- £3k training budget: this money is set aside for your development, spend it on something that will help you be better.
- Free breakfasts lunches from our amazing cafe.
- £100 monthly fitness allowance.
- Contributory Pension.
- Health insurance.
- Unlimited holiday: we pay for your results, not your hours.
- Use of Tesla Model X & BMW i3 electric vehicles.
- Use of our luxury properties in Cornwall, Dordogne, Chicago, Shoreditch and Camden.
