Job description

The Muslim Council of Britain is seeking a highly skilled and creative Freelance Graphic Designer to join our team remotely. As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our visual presence by creating bespoke graphics for our events, campaigns, and organizational initiatives. Your ability to adhere to our brand guidelines while delivering high-quality designs within tight deadlines will be essential to this role.

Responsibilities

– Create captivating and tailor-made graphics for events, campaigns, and various projects to effectively communicate the organization’s message.
– Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication teams to develop visually appealing materials that align with the Muslim Council of Britain’s brand identity.
– Assist in maintaining and enforcing brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing and promotional materials.
– Transform concepts and ideas into visually engaging designs that resonate with our target audience.
– Work under pressure to deliver reactive designs when necessary, showcasing adaptability and quick response time.
– Proactively contribute innovative design ideas that elevate the visual representation of the organization.
– Manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
– Stay updated with design trends and tools to ensure cutting-edge and relevant design work.


Qualifications

– Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design skills.
– Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
– In-depth understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
– Ability to follow brand guidelines while infusing creativity and originality into designs.
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interpret and implement design briefs.
– Strong time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
– Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
– Prior experience working remotely and managing your own workload.
– Familiarity with the values and mission of the Muslim Council of Britain is a plus.


Working Conditions

– Contract: Freelance, 30 hours per week.
– Compensation: £1,200 – £1,500 DOE
– Location: Remote working.
– Availability: Must be available to work on reactive projects and adapt to changing priorities.
