Fixed term contract/secondment opportunity for 6 months

The Norfolk and Waveney AHP Faculty works across the Integrated Care System (ICS) to facilitate system wide collaboration between health and care and education providers, reporting to the ICS AHP council.

The Faculty is a dedicated programme management centre, coordinating activities to support supply, education and training. The AHP Faculty enables idea and resource sharing and the alignment of priorities across our system.

Part time: 19.5 hours per week

The post holder will lead a project to create a career development pathway for all Occupational Therapists in Norfolk and Waveney. They must demonstrate significant project / programme management experience, setting up programmes of work, using quality improvement tools and techniques to support development of projects / programmes of work from an idea through to actions with measures of success, outcomes and with future sustainability plans.

The post holder will work closely with the AHP Faculty lead and AHP Council chair to report on the project to the ICS People’s Board, HEE and the AHP Council. They should demonstrate good communication skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced programme lead to work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists from organisations across the ICS to really make a difference and support the OT workforce development.

  • Apply a structured change management approach and lead change management activities to deliver sustainable business improvement within the development of the OT career framework and facilitate OT Improvement Work Streams and across the organisations where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with OT professionals and OT support workers from seven organisations across the ICS to develop a career framework and action plan that meets the expectations and aspirations of the ICS Norfolk and Waveney OT group
  • Assess the impact of change within the business area and develop change management strategies
  • Apply a structured project management approach for the delivery of specific projects within Improvement Work Streams and across the organisation where appropriate.
  • Ensure that specific projects assigned meet key milestones and timescales
  • Lead and guide relevant project boards and/ or User Groups ensuring regular meetings are held, minutes kept, appropriate reports are presented and agreed actions are implemented.
  • Ensure that all key stakeholders are engaged as the projects move forward and to take into account their views
  • Take responsibility for the implementation of specific projects as delegated by the Head of Improvement including the organisation and allocation of resources and materials, and the effective management of budget where allocated.
