An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Administrative Clerk to join our administrative team within the Gastroenterology Department based at The Royal Liverpool Hospital.
'It is expected that all applicants will have previous experience of working in the NHS within a secretarial role and will possess extensive understanding and knowledge of medical terminology.
The successful candidate must be able to undertake all administrative duties including clinic management, be well organised, plan own workload and work on own initiative working to strict guidelines, both individually and as part of the wider team.
You will be expected to be a team player and cover for your colleagues during absences. Previous experience of general administrative duties is advantageous
To provide a comprehensive service to the IBD nurses and consultants and with the minimum of supervision.
Organise your own workload and co-ordinate activities with other medical secretaries and administrative clerks to ensure that an efficient service is provided.
It is essential that you show initiative commensurate
with the role and it is vital that confidentiality should be maintained at all times.
Ensure cross cover working where possible.
Communicate with all disciplines of staff and patients throughout the Trust and other bodies both internally and externally.
Deal with all queries in a confidential and competent manner and general office duties.
