Job description
We are looking for enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced psychological wellbeing practitioners (PWP) to work in one of our four expanding teams that sit across Gloucestershire.
Each IAPT team includes a Clinical lead, Team manager, Psychological Therapists, Senior Psychological Wellbeing practitioner and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. We also train significant numbers of trainee therapists.
The IAPT Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) will work provide high volume low intensity self-management cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) interventions to people who experience mild to moderate anxiety. They will work with clients either individually (usually over the telephone), within psychoeducational courses or by using a digital therapy programme. You will also work closely with GP's and staff in Primary Care to improve access and develop resources aimed at promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing.
This is a particularly exciting time of development for the Service. Our Trust has just merged with a neighbouring Physical Health Trust, which has brought together physical and mental health care, including a joint approach to the management of long term health conditions.
You will be expected to be able to travel and work across the county and work outside of 9-5 hours in line with service opening hours.
Please note that the hours of this post are 37.5 per week.
