Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop regional business development plan focused on new and existing hydrogen and CCUS companies including End Users within the O&G and Industrial Gas sectors, equipment OEMs, etc. aligned to the global hydrogen and CCUS strategy
- Build relationships with targeted companies across the entire organization from senior executives, project managers, and relevant engineering contacts
- Identify new project opportunities and work collaboratively with Projects team to prioritize hydrogen and CCUS project funnel
- Execute business development and sales plan to exceed order and revenue targets from targeted customer accounts
- Provide local market and domain insights for the global strategic agenda of John Crane as well as for top management briefings
- Participate and support technical and commercial proposals and contract negotiations in collaboration with regional sales and project teams related to hydrogen and CCUS.
- Present John Crane hydrogen and CCUS product range and its technical attributes/benefits at customers, during trade shows and industry conferences as acting regional subject matter expert
- Actively share new market trends and product development opportunities with the Energy Transition and Portfolio teams to influence NPD portfolio
- Develop marketing material and training program to the sales team on new commercial trends, hydrogen and CCUS applications, products, and selling strategies
- Preparation of monthly reports to monitor progress and highlight future opportunities

The Individual
- High level of enthusiasm around the Energy Transition ecosystem with a clearly demonstrable interest to work in and contribute to the clean hydrogen and CCUS markets and communities by positioning our enabling technologies with the relevant stakeholders.
- Commercial experience, with experiences in business development in Europe, clearly demonstrating successful value creation.
- Deep knowledge and experience working in hydrogen or carbon capture related industries, especially with contacts within industrial gas companies, oil & gas companies, EPCs, major pump, compressor and electrolyzer OEMs involved in hydrogen or CCUS
- Working knowledge and experience around rotating equipment such as pumping, compression and filtration applications in those processes is a plus
- Degree in engineering (preferably process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering) or equivalent work experience
- Highly entrepreneurial with proven sales and business development experience
- Previous customer facing experience is essential and the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate an ability to quickly establish credibility within the customer base building strong relationships both externally and internally.
- An ability to work within a matrix organization with sales and project teams to identify new opportunities • Willingness to travel on a regular basis (both domestically and internationally) – up to 50%
- Self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to develop presentations for customers and potential customers and present in a professional manner
- Excellent people skills and ability to sell
- Good written and verbal communication skills, a proficiency in MS Office and an understanding of SAP would be beneficial
