At Umbrella we deliver a variety of apprenticeships for the Hospitality sector including Culinary, Front of House, Supervisory and Management, Human Resources, Sales and more!
We are looking for a HR Tutor to join the team to support our learners with HR related learning as part of their chosen apprenticeship standard, and to support in the delivery of our Human Resources Apprenticeship Standards.
This role is for 16 hours a week, on a FTC of 6 months.
Job Title: Human Resources Tutor
Overview of role:
As a HR Tutor you will deliver teaching, learning and assessment for the HR Apprenticeship Modules and HR Standard at Umbrella. You will also provide invaluable support to out team of Learning Consultants to support the delivery of HR apprenticeships at Umbrella.
The HR Tutor will support our learners studying a HR Standard by delivering learning modules, support learners to complete assignments, and prepare learners for their End Point Assessments.
Purpose of Role:
- To deliver teaching, learning and assessment within the agreed sector specialist areas; working towards the relevant apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills where required
- To teach in a way that accounts for reasonable adjustments and provides appropriate support for special educational needs and disabilities,
- Work in partnership to ensure that planning and delivery of programmes is tailored to support the growth and development of our learners
- To adhere to Prevent, Values and Safeguarding areas.
- Support the demands of the department and business as needed.
- Comply with the requirements set out by the commissioning body (funding agency); Umbrella Training policies and processes; those set out by the End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and Awarding Organisations’ (AO) requirements
- Maintain and keep up to date electronic calendar/diary
- To observe awarding organisation, audit compliance, EPA regulations and Umbrella Policies
- Arrange and manage 1-1s with learners.
Qualifications and experience:
Essential
- Minimum CIPD Qualified Level 5
- English and Math’s at minimum level 2 (GCSE A – C or equivalent or Functional Skills at level 2)
- Evidence of discipline with/and meeting strict deadlines and targets
- Working with a diverse client base and having a professional approach at all levels
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work and adapt within a changing environment
- Experience in staff training/coaching/mentoring/inductions
Desirable
- Level 4 teaching training qualification and suitable occupational/industry qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- PGCE, TAQA, CAVA qualification or equivalent CTTLs
- Working with ESFA/ESF/ Government funded contracts
- Experience delivering teaching or training in the workplace
- Experience teaching online
