By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as an HR Operations Officer you can be the difference between people just surviving and really living.
You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live life to the full again. Our Hospital to Home services forms a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.
Working with CHSS as an HR Operations Officer will be to support the HR Operations Lead Manager, living our company’s values, ensuring policies, procedures and goals are embedded to support colleagues to bring their very best to deliver our No Life Half Lived Strategy (NLHL)

The key responsibilities of an HR Operations Officer include:
Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new colleagues to support talent and succession planning.- Working with our Finance colleagues to support our colleagues salaries and benefits processes.
- Ensuring that we comply with employment legislation and regulations.
- Recording and processing of confidential information.
- Promoting Equity, Health and Safety and Health and Wellbeing within CHSS.
- Proactively focus on employee engagement and retention.
- Support to Line Managers in dealing with all HR transactions.
- Supporting the development and implementation from HR initiatives and systems.
The role is blended between our Edinburgh Office and home. The office is located in Edinburgh City Centre, with great access by train, bus, and tram.
