Human Resources Officer
Location – Ramsgate, Kent
Salary – £40,000 per annum

We have an amazing opportunity in Ramsgate for a Human Resources Officer to work for one of our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a stand-alone HR role, with lots of exciting changes happening within the business so they are looking for a HR professional who can support with implementing change and happy to carry out a lot of administration work that goes with the role. In this role you will be working full-time.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with Managers on any recruitment needs, developing job descriptions and advertising on the appropriate avenues, and managing the offer process
- Ensuring that the company is recruiting top-level employees by using effective screening and interviewing techniques
- Manage the onboarding process with the use of the HR system
- Working closely with the senior management team on any employee engagement, and improvement projects and leading the delivery
- Ensuring consistent training for all team managers on any staffing issues
- Ensure the HR system is always up to date and use it to provide data to the Directors
- Carrying out disciplinary and grievance procedures, and supporting managers on performance issues
- Being the first contact for any HR queries for all level staff
- Manage the leaver process via the HR System
- Develop and maintain the HR System and all records and documents on it
- Undertaking audits and inspections of all sites, preparing site-specific reports to identify corrective actions, and ensuring continual improvement of standards
- Lead or support initiatives across the business that promotes health and well-being.
- Liaising with an external third-party employment law and H&S advisor, ensuring their advice is followed within the organisation
- Contributing to incident investigations as necessary
- Managing the monthly payroll
- Other duties as deemed reasonable
Skills and Experience
- 2 years experience in a Human Resources position
- CIPD level 3 qualification
- Previous experience supporting with payroll
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of best recruitment practices and techniques
- Able to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Understanding of GDPR
