Belmond is seeking a Human Resources Officer, based in London, to support the HR Department for all Belmond Trains & Cruises products across the division. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team with a passion for excellence and storytelling in travel, a strong cultural awareness and an unswerving approach to maintaining standards. Reporting to the Divisional Director of Human Resources, the ideal candidate will be a great communicator and team player, unfailing in your support of all HR activities while juggling a variety of duties. These range from recruiting and onboarding new staff to assisting with Learning & Development initiatives and implementing employee welfare programmes.

About the role
The HR Officer provides a key role in supporting all functions of the HR department. Responsibilities include processing employee data and keeping records up to date, administering employee benefits and assisting in the hiring and onboarding process. Flexibility is essential as you provide support to both employees and management on daily HR-related matters. One day you may be communicating with other departments to support business workflow, the next creating job adverts, sourcing candidates and organising interviews, and the next conducting probationary reviews and exit interviews. You will need to monitor, track and run reports on HRIS systems and manage various HR software tools, as well as assist with all aspects of Learning & Development initiatives. You will be involved in organising events, such as team building, wellness days and awards evenings, and will be required to travel to our products for onsite HR-related matters.

Requirements
- At least 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role.
- CIPD qualification (desirable).
- Proven experience in employee relations.
- Methodical and accurate work practice essential.
- Strong organisational skills.
- High levels of attention to detail and degree of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation and regulations - advantageous.
- Effective Human Resources administration skills.
- A good understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential. Additional language skills would be a plus.
