Summary: The Winchester Human Resources Manager will act as a strategic partner to leadership, assist management in coaching employee development, ensure excellent talent acquisition, participate in organizational design, and influence change management. The Human Resources Manager will create company-wide engagement strategies that integrate employee engagement while providing supervision and oversight for all employees. This will be accomplished through technology, policies, and a physical workplace that shapes company culture leading to world-class employee experience. This will be achieved by performing the following duties.

Employee Relations Duties:
- Drive a lifecycle approach to talent management focused on employee development that incorporates performance management, goal setting, and workforce planning.
- Helps management identify, track, and manage the variables that increase engagement and improve employment outcomes such as turnover, personnel issues, performance concerns, or benefits offered
- Responsible for proactively managing the recruiting needs of the Company; Builds and maintains standard work to meet recruiting needs; effectively manage internal and external recruiting resources.
- Champions the development of comprehensive and sustainable team member engagement strategies that support the Company's strategic goals
- Work closely as a recruiter, from identifying and addressing talent requirements to onboarding new hires, always looking to further improve the candidate journey.
- Develop and drive employee engagement strategies and initiatives that foster a culture of diversity and inclusion, where all employees are respected and valued.
- Deliver practical training and communications on people processes, leadership development programs, etc.
Human Resources Operations Duties:
- Understands that the effectiveness of work is directly impacted by the quality of quality and timeliness of manager coaching. Responsible for developing the quality and timeliness of manager's employee coaching and feedback skills; develops manager coaching skills by mentoring; tracks and reports on coaching metrics for quality and timeliness.
- Proactively identify the employee and organizational needs, analyze people-related data, assess trends, and propose solutions to support organizational goals.
- Partner with business leaders to build high performing, psychologically safe, autonomous teams that align talent needs with current and future organizational goals.
- Ensures that managers are effectively documenting employee performance as part of regular job duties; develops manager documentation skills; monitors documentation to identify potential performance challenges early; tracks and reports on the quality of documentation and timeliness of corrective action by managers.
- Assist with benefits administration: enrollment, vendor relations, COBRA administration, 401k, ACA compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership in evaluating the performance of individual team members and guide development.
- Develop, administer, and revise H.R. policies and programs based on a solid understanding of California, federal, and local employment standards and laws.
- Responsible for compensation management, administration of benefits, performance management, safety, and workers' compensation, leave administration, record keeping, and maintenance of team member files and other related documents.
- Works closely with departments (Accounting, Maintenance, Marketing, F&B, Gift Shop, and other leaders) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
Payroll Processing
- Responsible for timely and accurately process payroll for all corporate and divisional payroll functions, including preparation, processing, and disbursement of all regular and off-cycle payrolls.
- Responsible for providing incentive compensation, deferred compensation, payroll taxes, and employee benefit payments as well as deductions to partners and vendors.
- Process payroll system inputs, including new hires, changes in salary, overtime, terminations, benefits, tax withholdings, annual elections, etc. for all salaried and hourly employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree, Certificate in Human Resource Management or the equivalent experience highly preferred.
- 2+ years of training/organizational development experience preferred
- Prior experience in hospitality and/or theme parks industry strongly preferred

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
