HR Manager
Job Type: Full-time on-site
Salary: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually
We are a combination of three specialty contractor/construction/maintenance companies that operate throughout the West Coast. Over 40 years of focusing on integrity and customer service have made us the top in our field. We are looking for an experienced candidate to oversee all aspects of our HR operations. This position will involve supporting about 300 employees and a management team to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations in multiple jurisdictions. Our companies are moving towards a more technology-based administration and this candidate will be heavily involved in the movement of company policies and procedures to these platforms for updating, better employee access and company-wide support.
The “ideal” candidate for this position would have previous Human Resources experience and have knowledge of the following:
· Strong Computer Skills
· Workers comp audit experience
· Strong written and communication skills
· Support all employees in all areas of our businesses
· 401k administrative experience including testing and yearend audit work
· Willing to provide creative ideas and innovations to improve our practices
· Construction experience a plus – prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, Workers Comp
· Strong computer skills to maximize use of company software (Docusign, Adobe, Fieldpoint, Mfiles) and provide efficient, timely, accurate reports and information
Candidates are required to perform the following:
· Familiarity with ADP processing and report writing.
· Active monitoring of all worker comp related reports and actions
· Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees
· Ability to travel to branches in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington State.
· Support management with employee reviews, counseling, corrections, and terminations
· Timely submission of relevant payroll-related costs to accounting and management for budgets and other reporting requirements as requested
· Continuous education and research on changes in the federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations employment laws and regulations
· Active involvement with payroll staff to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing including timecards, prevailing wage, multi-state regulations
· Active participation with 401k advisors and providers for quarterly fiduciary meetings, employee meetings, questions, and support, year-end testing and compliance
· Timely reporting for all applicable federal, state, and local requirements for the multiple jurisdictions in which we operate including: 401k testing, Payroll tax reports, ACA annual reports and Time off and sick leave reports
· Evaluation for improvements, recommendations, modifications and implementation of our HR system and practices including: Maintenance of employee records, Company-Wide policies and effectiveness, and compliance and Employee benefit plan maintenance, changes, communications
