JOB SUMMARY & SCOPE:
Take the lead in the UK business for the provision of proactive, effective, and confidential HR management, including employee relations, HRIS, learning and development, recruitment and reward and recognition. Drive the development of an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasises quality, productivity, success and continued professional development. Deliver best practice HR philosophy within the UK organisation, in alignment with global initiatives and direction and ensure compliance with relevant policy and legislation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Act in a generalist capacity and provide advice to managers and employees on all HR-related matters, offer guidance on local policy and legislation and provide advice and support to the wider leadership team.
  • Lead the recruitment process through the creation of job descriptions, management of employment agencies, short-listing and recruitment and selection strategy with a specific emphasis on specialty roles.
  • Assist in the development of HR policy and procedure to help drive cultural and performance traits and mitigate risk.
  • Lead the continued development and maintenance of the company HR information system.
  • Manage succession planning with a proactive approach to talent management and retention.
  • Work as part of the wider European team to drive alignment of local and global business goals with corporate HR strategy and organisational culture.
  • Participate in reward, recognition and incentive plan designs and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of global organisational strategy and contribute to analysis and recommendations related to the company’s strategic direction.
  • Lead the team in employee relations matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, redundancy, and dispute resolution.
  • Oversee the new starter induction process and ensure content and scope is appropriate to roles and responsibilities.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure timely and accurate payroll payments and offer guidance on any payment-related disputes.
  • Take an active lead in change management and how change affects the wider business.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KEY TRAITS:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience, professional qualification such as CIPD an advantage.
  • Track record of working with HRIS systems to define work processes and communicate internal standards to 3rdparties.
  • Work with HRIS to develop business-focused data to add to the decision-making of the business using tools such as PowerBI.
  • Principles, methods, and practices related to UK HR and payroll activities, including a good working knowledge of UK HR legislation and employment law.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including the ability to demonstrate excellent customer interaction skills.
  • Multi-task and prioritise workflows based on priorities and strategic goals, meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet as well as HRIS – specifically Dayforce.
  • Ability to travel locally and potentially internationally (on occasion)
  • A proven record of human resources management experience is required, preferably with a progressive approach to leadership and HR management.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employment law, compensation, benefits, organisational planning and development, employee relations, training, and positive employee relations.
  • Ability and desire to provide the full scope of human resources services, from advising senior management on strategic issues to administering annual benefits open enrollment as well as handling day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Customer service mindset and a hands-on style.
  • Ability to embrace change.
  • Must be detailed with a high level of attention to detail and results-oriented.
