Location: Hybrid working from one of our UK offices: Lisburn (Northern Ireland), Peterborough (Cambridgeshire), St Neots (Cambridgeshire) or Bury St Edmunds (Suffolk). Or fully remote working considered.

The Role
We are undergoing an exciting time in our evolution and now seek a dynamic and ambitious People Assistant to join a growing business that will support you to reach your full potential. As a People Team, we collaborate in providing support to our sites in Lisburn, Peterborough, Bury St Edmunds, St Neots and Glasgow as well as a number of homeworkers totalling a headcount of approx. 180.
Joining our growing People Team located across NI and the East of England, you will support the smooth running of the department by providing administrative and logistical assistance, whilst having involvement in day-to-day People support activity in collaboration with other People Team members.
This role will draw on your experience in HR administration, the maintenance of HR systems and processes, recruitment and onboarding coordination, and event management. This role presents an opportunity to work across all people related disciplines throughout the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding.

As we want to identify only the best talent to join our team, this role may be based in any of our UK offices on a hybrid basis, however full remote working may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a professional and confidential People administration support service to the business
- Act as first point of contact for employees and managers across all locations for People related administration queries (employee benefits, people systems etc.) escalating issues to the wider People Team and external providers where necessary. This includes management of the People Team’s shared mailboxes.
- Maintaining our HR Information System ensuring data integrity, maximising the system’s capability
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of HR administrative processes, including automation
- Support the reporting of KPIs and delivery of dashboards to help drive people management across the business
- Support the co-ordination of recruitment activity and on-boarding processes:
o Job adverts
o Interviews and assessment centres
o Preparation of recruitment materials/information packs
o Pre-employment checks and contracts of employment
o Applicant Tracking System administration
o Collating new starter information, creating new employee records
o Support the delivery of induction events and probation-related activity
- Provide administrative support to wider People Team e.g. letter writing, generating and compiling reports, arranging meetings and travel
- Support the People Team as needed with employee relations activity such as absence management, flexible working requests etc.
- Support general learning and development activity within the organisation
Essential:
- At least 1 years’ experience working in a busy HR department supporting HR and/or recruitment administration
- Proven ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
- A strong analytical aptitude, with previous experience of manipulating and managing large data sets and conducting data analysis
- Previous experience of using a HR system (eg. Workday, SuccessFactors, PeopleHR)
- A demonstratable commitment to continued professional development
- Ability to travel to NI/GB as required
- Ability to live and work in the UK without visa sponsorship
Desirable:
- A degree in a HR or business-related discipline
- Advanced excel skills (including formulae and pivot tables)
- A CIPD Level 3 qualification or above and Associate Level membership
- Previous experience of supporting people projects and events
- Previous experience in an IT/Professional Services organisation
