The Human Resources Assistant is a vital member of our team, who will be in charge of ensuring the smooth running of human resources. This position is a collaborative effort between the HR team and our company executives, and a successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be detail-oriented. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment, training and management of all staff members, as well as advising executives on potential areas for improvement.
The Person:
We are looking for a highly motivated and motivating individual to join our team as the Human Resources and Office Assistant. The right candidate will be an excellent communicator with a flawless level of spoken and written English. A person who works for continuous improvement and who seeks the best in themselves and in others. Would suit someone with an interest in Human Resources who may want to pursue a CIPD qualification
Essential responsibilities
HR Administration, HR Information System (HRIS), Metrics, and Reporting
- Act as a go-to HR professional for day-to-day employee questions, as well as respond to employees in a timely and accurate manner ensuring complete follow-through
- Assist with annual and off-cycle compensation, bonus, and promotion processes
- Work with other HR team members to ensure the annual HR checklist is completed
- Update HR reports on a monthly basis to provide accurate metrics to the business
- Maintain HR records and asist managers with day to day HR tasks
- Create ad hoc reports and manipulate data, as needed, in an accurate and concise manner
- Work alongside outside contractors to ensure all training and legislation is kept up to date
- Assist with leaves of absence tracking, including disability plan coordination
Recruiting and Onboarding
- Perform initial phone screens and in-person interviews, as requested
- Assist in the preparation of offer letters, agreements, and all other relevant new hire paperwork
- Onboard new employees in a welcoming way, ensuring they receive timely and accurate instruction needed regarding their employment and benefits options
Project Work
- Participate in various projects in order to gain exposure to different areas within the HR
- Complete project work in a timely and accurate manner and provide clear communication on project status to project leader(s)
Office assistance
- Ordering stationary and office equipment
- Liaising with external IT, H&S and Security contractors as the main day to day point of contact
Required education, experience, and skills
- A level or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Teams
- Ability to see the big picture yet has the ability to work in a detailed and thorough manner

· The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, once established in the role the successful candidate can work from home two days per week.
