We are looking for a candidate with previous standalone HR Management experience in a start-up for our UK office. This position will lead several critical functions, including office administration, compensation & benefits, employee relations, training & development, and recruiting.
Responsibilities related to HR:
- To ensure that requests to advertise are dealt with appropriately, including redeployment procedures.
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding new employees, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and making job offers.
- Administer compensation and benefit plans
- Provide support to employees in various HR related areas, such as leaves, compensation, performance management, and employee relations
- Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and practices
- Conduct the recruitment activities, such as candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, and execution, and provide offer letters to selected candidates.
- Maintain and refine the onboarding process and onboard new hires.
- Oversee the coordination and implementation of annual performance reviews.
- Annually review the Personnel Handbook recommending amendments needed due to changes in local conditions or labour laws.
- Payroll management.
- Termination management and exit interview.
- Compliance with government regulations concerning employment.
- Ensure efforts are synchronized with corporate HR initiatives.
- Perform other HR-related duties as required and assigned.
Responsibilities related to Office Administration
- Handle all issues pertaining to offices operations on the administrative level.
- In charge of all Insurance Renewals at expiry date (Review and analyze Insurance Quotations and offers as per company policy and guidelines).
- Office administration
Requirement:
- Able to speak English and Mandarin (in order to liaise with Chinese speaking associates)
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration or related discipline
- 5 years or above of proven experience in a HR role in a similar environment in UK
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and payroll administration, experience dealing with visa is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and Employee relations
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and able to work autonomously through shifting priorities.
- Open-minded, good communication ability, perspective-taking ability.
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
