Sounds familiar? These are all phrases we have heard many times in our HR careers.
At Napthens we really value HR advice and our clients value it even more.
So much so that we have our own outsourced team of HR professionals providing support, guidance, and training to a variety of different businesses. This part of our business is evolving, and you will not be surprised to hear that our services are in demand more than ever.
Do not worry about business development, we are truly fortunate with that side of things working alongside our legal employment department.
You are very welcome to get out of the office and attend networking events, but we do not have KPIs or targets on revenue or fees.
You might be a HR adviser or HR generalist who knows their way around most employee relations matters but you know you can do more.
Looking at your diary and seeing another disciplinary, grievance, return to work, absence review all on this coming Wednesday well frankly it is getting a bit mundane, enough is enough.
You enjoy the projects, engagement, retention, development, strategic initiatives and showing your commercial side. You want to have more variety on your to do list, daily, weekly, and monthly.
Deep down, you know that another in-house HR job for another company is not for you. Your qualified but more importantly have a breadth of experience working across different industries.
You also know that this is not a standard job ad for a standard HR job.
You will be dealing with busy clients, troubleshooting and being diplomatic but firm. It will take tough skin, a quick wit, a fast brain, and one more essential ingredient a sense of humour!
