Job description

This role will allow you to work with different organisations in a multiagency environment, while knowing that you are making a real difference in countering the threats to our National Security.
You will report to a DS Deputy Controller within the DSU, however much of your work will be reliant on your ability to be self-motivated, using on your own initiative to fulfil the requirements provided to you.
You will have the ability and confidence to prepare reports for all levels of the Police Service and external partners and to make reasoned recommendations based on your previous educational and professional experience.
The role provides very privileged access to the most sensitive information sources, therefore an ability to maintain complete operational security in connection with your work is essential.
Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level DV. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
