Introduction
Our client is looking for a Human Factors Consultant who can provide HF support to designs and provide Human reliability assessments within the Defence sector initially, then likely to be options within other safety critical environments. The opportunities to work in other industries are really appealing.

You will be based in a local office (various offices UK wide) but then expected to travel to client sites monthly, the rest of the work can be done remotely or in a local office.
Key responsibilities
- Apply a range of Human Factors techniques, such:
- task analysis
- error analysis
- design assessment
- Human Machine Interface assessment
- qualitative and quantitative data gathering techniques and analysis
- procedural analysis
- human performance measurement
- workstation and operations room design.
- Apply Human Factors Integration and Human Factors processes, standards and techniques to engineering projects.
- The role will also require you to support business development activities including the writing of bids
Skills & experience
- Good knowledge of Human Factors techniques, data and tools.
- Demonstrable experience of planning and applying Human Factors Integration and Human Factors processes.
- An example of applying Human Factors techniques including error analysis, task analysis or performance management.
- Knowledge of relevant UK and international standards/guidance and their application.
- A degree or post graduate qualification in Human Factors or a related discipline.
- CIEHF Registered Member status or equivalent or working towards chartership.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
