Location: Devonport – Hybrid, 1 day per week WFH
Compensation: £39,000

The role
As a HSE Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will support Babcock with delivering our purpose of Creating a Safe and Secure World Together through the production and manufacture of high-performance military vehicles, either directly or within supporting roles.
Day to day, you will provide guidance and support to operational staff and managers upon the means of managing HS&E risks and implementing the requirements of company HS&E standards.
- Cooperation and collaboration with operational management teams, and site staff across the business unit sites and work activities.
- Provide formal and informal advice, identify areas of non-compliance
- Write reports and make recommendations for HSE improvement
- Work with line management to deliver improvement plans and solutions
Essential experience of the HSE Advisor,
- Proven experience in a HS&E advisor role preferably engineering or high-risk industry
- Ability to conduct investigations for events using industry best-practice
This role provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the onsite and days working from home.
Qualifications for the HSE Advisor,
- Level 3 accredited Health and Safety qualification or equivalent. Examples include BSC Level Three certificate in occupational safety and health, or
- National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level Three Health and Safety at Work, or
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- IOSH Certification
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
