  • Post 1: Based at Ufford Depot (with homeworking)
  • Post 2: Based at Lowestoft Depot (with home working)
  • Both posts 37 hours per week (part time applicants welcome)

Your role

We have a fantastic opportunity for two HR Support Officer to join our friendly HR team. This is a really exciting time to join us as the team expands in preparation for the Council’s exciting new venture of launching East Suffolk Services Ltd in July 2023.

You will provide HR administrative support and be a first point of contact for internal and external HR enquiries relating to East Suffolk Services. Your role will be very varied, including providing comprehensive administrative support to the recruitment and selection process, managing the new starter and leaver processes, and making payroll changes. You will also be involved in administering the induction and probation processes, carrying out HR compliance activities and assisting in the administrative co-ordination and support of corporate initiatives as required.

The successful applicants will be required to be based in the office for at least 3 days per week. If you wish to discuss how that might impact your working arrangements if you were the successful candidate, please contact the recruiting manager.

What you will need

You must be a team player, have excellent organisational and customer service skills, and have an aptitude for IT and HR systems. You should also be able to work under pressure, managing changing and sometimes conflicting priorities, whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail. It is essential that you have previous administrative experience in a busy office environment, ideally within the HR field.
