Our Firm has an immediate opening for a full-time Human Resources Specialist (Internal HR) in our Burlington Office. This dynamic role allows for a split between remote and in-office work after a training period.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, you will be responsible for:

  • Being the first point of contact regarding policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Serving as the initial point of advice and issue resolution in employee relations and performance management
  • Leading and/or collaborating on the development and implementation of various HR projects
  • Maintaining and reinforcing the coaching and performance management program that drives a high-performing culture
  • Remaining abreast of emerging HR best practices and providing recommendations as required
  • Developing and delivering internal training programs
  • Developing, implementing, and upholding HR policies, procedures, and processes for compliance with legislation and best practices
  • Ensuring compensation information and knowledge is current and appropriate to the business needs of the Firm
  • Providing support and troubleshooting to staff with all aspects of the HRMS
  • Supporting the full-cycle recruitment for all internal positions, and providing recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process
  • Other duties as required

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years progressive HR generalist experience
  • A post-secondary degree/diploma in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Achieved a CHRP or CHRL designation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships and work closely and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management
  • An in-depth working knowledge of all legislation that may affect HR and employment functions
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • The capacity to learn quickly and work with a high degree of discretion and diplomacy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid administrative, organizational, and computer skills
  • Well-developed critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience designing and/or administering compensation programs
  • HCM or HRMS experience; implementation experience an asset
