Salary: from £35,000 per annum depending on experience
Contract: 12 month FTC
Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home or at any of our main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester and Harwell)

About your team and the role:
The HR partner role sits within the HR Partnership team, and is responsible for:
Proactively working with people managers, managing complex employee relations and wellbeing matters, providing professional advice and guidance whilst adopting a solutions- focused approach.

About your team and the role:
The HR partner role sits within the HR Partnership team, and is responsible for:
Proactively working with people managers, managing complex employee relations and wellbeing matters, providing professional advice and guidance whilst adopting a solutions- focused approach.
- Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching,, career development).
- Leading on disciplinary and grievance cases and conducting thorough investigations
- Working with the Centre of Expertise to advise the business on pay and reward
- Delivery of a range of differing complexities of people related projects and change programs within the agreed business areas.
- Being a part of the extended HRLT, inputting in to the people strategy and tactical issues across HR and the business.
- Working with the wider HR team to ensure the provision of efficient, high quality services including robust systems and processes. Identifying opportunities for improvement to offer solutions to address and implementing or coordinating the implementation of agreed actions with a range of stakeholders.
- Participating/leading in the review and development of Jisc’s HR policies
- Coaching, supporting, providing feedback and sharing specialist knowledge with other team members to support skills development, continuous improvement and support service delivery.
- Co-ordinating and leading as HR representative for organisational committees as required
- Being responsible for being part of a senior leadership team and working with them to advise on HR initiatives and bring the ‘voice of the customer’ back to HR.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for solving complex problems with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer experience skills.
- Influencing skills & stakeholder management
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and great attention to detail.
- A collaborative approach to work, you will be a real team player and ready to roll your sleeves up whenever needed.
- Ability to work independently and as a coach/mentor to other members of the team
- Ability to learn quickly and acquire an understanding of Jisc's structure, roles, pay and reward practices, policies and culture.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
