The Opportunity...
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
As a HR Partner, you role will partner with key stakeholders for HPC to advise of HR best practice to support delivery, ensuring Edvance UK HR strategy, policy and procedures are delivered.
This role sits within Edvance UK which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, an EPCC established in 2018 in charge of the design (basic design) and the realization (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide. Spearhead of the French nuclear industry, it aims through its objectives and challenges of economic competitiveness and performance, to position itself sustainably in nuclear markets internationally and those of the renewal of the French fleet.
Edvance is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome responsible for delivering the design for a number of Nuclear Island buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the HPC project.

What you’ll be doing…
- Liaising with Managers to ensure correct documentation is in place to commence a resourcing process (Job Description/Technical Spec).
- Liaising with stakeholders to advertise the requirement and completing the offer process.
- Monitoring applications against the recruitment with stakeholders.
- Liaising with the Commercial/Finance team where required to ensure procurement process is satisfied ready for the resource to start.
- Liaising with internal company departments to establish and ensure the onboarding process.
- Liaising with Managers on internal changes, ensuring changes go through the appropriate process and HR data is updated accordingly.
- Working on resourcing related projects and initiatives as required by the Company including STEM activity, Apprentices, Graduates, Interns.
- Liaising with wider HR Teams and managers to ensure mandatory trainings are completed.
- Ensuring annual reviews are undertaken in line with parent company processes and subsequent actions are monitored and delivered.
- Ensuring partner reviews are undertaken with commercial partners for services provided to Edvance UK and subsequent actions for training and development are monitored and delivered.
- Coaching and mentoring managers on people management best practice and specific practice within Edvance UK.
- Supporting the creation of line management development trainings.
- Managing Talent and Succession Plan for HPC key resources.
- Ensuring performance and conduct issues related to parent company resources are effectively dealt with in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring grievances related to parent company resources are effectively dealt with in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring partner reviews are undertaken with commercial partners for services provided to Edvance UK and subsequent actions related to performance and conduct issues are monitored and delivered by the commercial partner.
- Promoting Edvance UK Staff Networks and MyEDF survey participation, review results, and work with project to identify action plans to stimulate improvements.
- Producing and monitoring data on people related key performance indicators for presentation and discussion with managers to inform strategic actions.
- Producing and monitoring the HR data relevant to manage the HPC project requested by the HPC project control team.
Who you are…
Your background may include some of the following:
- CIPD Level 5 or willingness to work towards.
- Strong background in a HR Generalist Function.
- Organised with a keen attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Professional and friendly and able to build relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
