HR Officer – Glengormley

Whytematter are proud to be recruiting for our Client. The Client has been Established since 1970. They are automotive transport company and are Europe's leading suppliers of logistical services. The company is a privately owned business that has grown significantly in recent years, now providing a diverse range of Logistics Services throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Client is looking to recruit a full time HR Officer to join the team based in the head office in Glengormley site.

Key Responsibilities of a HR Officer:

  • To administer the starter/leaver process including all documentation, contracts offer letters, induction process and exit interviews
  • Maintaining employment data into the company database
  • To work in partnership with HR and payroll teams to ensure data records are consistently and accurately maintained.
  • Organising meetings and taking minutes
  • Assisting with the hiring process
  • Management of the Companies Equality Platform including statutory monitoring processes
  • First point of contact for HR related matters
  • Answering any employee enquiries
  • Creating staff handbooks and newsletters
  • Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations
  • Updating employee holiday and sickness records
  • Provide advice on a range of HR policies and procedures

The Ideal HR Officer:

  • Excellent IT Skills including Excel
  • Strong Systems experience
  • Experience in managing performance management systems
  • A self-starter who has the ability to deliver excellent results
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to provide high levels of accuracy in all work
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent customer/client service skills
  • Proven ability to work well as a member of a team, as well as the ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate with effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Ability to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information
  • A Tertiary HR qualification and or CIPD qualified level 3 or above
