Job description

Reports to: CCO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support managers by providing advice and practical guidance to help achieve effective resolutions in employee relations issues.
  • Maintain HR policies and procedures across the organisation, ensuring these are compliant with any changes in law.
  • Taking the lead on learning and development across the group. Identifying training needs and skills needs that can help with workforce planning.
  • Recruitment and staffing. Managing the employees’ journey from assessment to selection, induction, and exit.
  • Processing of payroll.
  • Managing the employee records to make sure they are up to date and relevant data is on file for audits.
  • Reporting, and presenting, on people metrics to members of the board.

Key Expectations:

  • Ensuring staff get paid correctly and on time.
  • All new staff are properly orientated to the business i.e. upon arrival all system needs are in place and set up.
  • Grievances and disciplinaries are handled in a fair and correct manner, following the law and continuing to uphold the organisation's reputation of being fair and reasonable.
  • Staff engagement programs introduced.
  • Willing to support on the facilities operation of the business.
  • To cooperate with colleagues and to be flexible when assisting them in response to business and company needs.

Key Skills:

  • Level 3/5 CIPD qualified or willingness to work towards this.
  • Track record of training and development planning.
  • Experience in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Oral and written skills.
  • Skills and credibility to coach managers.
  • Knowledge of current employment laws.
  • Prior involvement in handling disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Professionally driven with a desire to learn.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
