Job Purpose:
We are seeking an HR Officer to join our team and provide exceptional support to our People function. In this role, you will focus on administration, data analysis, and project support to ensure the smooth operation of our HR department. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in Human Resources, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee Administration
· Draft employment contracts and offer letters for new hires.
· Coordinate 3rd party referencing processes for new employees.
· Support the induction process for new hires.
Compliance
· Ensure 100% compliance of all staff records.
· Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing HR data for reports on employee demographics, turnover rates, and training KPIs.
Onboarding and Offboarding
· Complete pre-boarding and onboarding processes, including reference checks and compliance checks.
· Conduct exit interviews for departing employees.
HR Letters and Documentation
· Draft and issue HR letters, including changes to terms and conditions, probation outcomes, disciplinary, and grievance meeting outcomes.
Meeting Support
· Attend HR-specific meetings and take meeting notes as required.
· Assist in organizing well-being meetings, disciplinary proceedings, and grievance processes.
· Employee Benefits Administration
· Enroll new employees in benefit programs and process leaver information with relevant suppliers.
· Ensure timely payments are made where necessary.
Learning and Development
· Source, book, and arrange external training as required.
· Provide support for internal employee training programs.
· Schedule training sessions and assist with logistics.
Onboarding Support
· Participate in the onboarding process, ensuring an engaging and compliant welcome for new starters.
Project and Ad-Hoc Support
· Assist the HR Team with various projects and ad-hoc tasks, such as the Year-End Appraisal Process or HR system roll-outs.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Degree educated (or equivalent strong academic background).
· Demonstrable administration experience, with prior exposure to HR.
· Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
· Proactive and capable of managing your own workload and priorities.
· Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
· Willingness to be hands-on and provide support where required.
· Previous HR experience, preferably in a professional services environment or with a background in law.
· Strong attention to detail.
· CIPD qualification is considered an asset.
