HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
Location: West London, Greater London
We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to work at a Foreign Embassy in West London. This role will be based full time onsite. The HR Manager will be responsible for aligning Embassies objectives with employees and management in designated Embassy functions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the objectives of the Embassy. The HR Manager maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and the environment it operates in. The HR Manager has a thorough, deep understanding and appreciation of what the key Embassy drivers are and what HR’s role is in achieving them.
- Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units, listens to the needs of the team and offers solutions and ideas to support the functions
- Provides HR guidance when appropriate to leadership and management
- Analyses trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies across the Embassy
- Focuses on development of a talent-based ethos throughout the organisation and provides innovative solutions to the business to help constantly improve here
- As part of the management team, provides programmes to constantly improve the employee value proposition in the organisation
- Drives cultural growth – proactively seeks to bind the organisation in every aspect of their work to the company’s mission and values
- Regularly consults with wider organisation to maintain organisational stability and provides a pulse to the executive management
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and provides continuous improvement to the Embassy’s policies based on external and internal change
- Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, transfers and terminations of employees.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Plays an active role in development of attractive compensation and benefits programmes as part of the clinical and head office reward programmes
- Develops and participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Seeks the right partners for the needed programmes in the organisation in terms of learning and development. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Performs other related duties as assigned across the organisation.
Duties include:
- Oversee the hiring process from start to finish including interviewing, onboarding, and training
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires including orientation, training, and development plans
- Oversee the recruitment process including sourcing, interviewing, background checks, and hiring compliance
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires in our West London, Greater London office
- Manage all HR related paperwork from start to finish including HRIS forms, HR payroll reports, employee compensation reports, employee leave calculations and termination letters
- Oversee all benefits administration including employee insurance reports and benefits enrollment
- Oversee all human resources related projects within the organization including HRIS forms, HR payroll reports, employee compensation reports, termination letters and leave calculations
- Oversee all compliance requirements for state and federal regulations regarding employment law compliance within the organization
- Oversee all other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Education
· Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- CIPD level 5
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years+ of working in HR, with clear progression through the different functional aspects of HRM

Education
- CIPD level 5+ preferred
Experience
- Ideal candidates will have experience of working in structured small-medium sized organisations
- Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, organisational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state respective employment laws
