Senior HR Advisor
Home Based with travel to clients’ offices and sites
- Salary up to £35K
- Work from home with some on site and local travel requirements
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- 30 days Holiday including Bank Holidays

You’ll take a commercial approach to how you advise the companies you represent and love to manage a varied caseload. You’ll be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a high level of organisational and time management skills. A can-do attitude is a must!
You’ll be happy to work from home with some travel to clients’ offices and sites across East Yorkshire and North/North East Lincolnshire. Therefore, having a clean driving licence and your own vehicle is essential.
The Role
- Provide pragmatic and commercial based HR advice and support to our clients across the whole employee lifecycle
- You’ll support our clients with telephone advice, video calls and on-site presence
- Advising and managing on behalf of clients’ on a range of employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, employee grievances, performance and absence management, re-organisations, redundancies and TUPE
- Creating and issuing documents that supports the specialist advice provided to clients, such as contracts of employment, handbooks, policies and procedures, letters and any other documents that may be required along the way
- Delivering project work including employee surveys, salary benchmarking, managing client appraisals
- Providing HR administrative support to clients
- Attending or chairing formal meetings on behalf of clients
- Delivering training to clients and helping to develop and prepare training materials
In addition
- You’ll support us in making our company brand stand out by interacting with social media and representing us at business networking events
- You’ll help with business development and identifying new business opportunities by talking to our clients and prospective clients about our services
- As we are a small business, you’ll need to take on some business management tasks and provide written quotes to clients, support billing and invoicing of clients
Skills and Experience
- CIPD qualified, (ideally Level 7), or equivalent experience
- Excellent UK employment law knowledge
- HR generalist experience across a variety of roles and preferably a variety of industries
- Have worked within or consulted with SME organisations i.e., familiar with HR needs of businesses with 1-50 employees (Preferable but not essential)
- Familiarity with social media and professional networking
- Confident and pragmatic approach in coaching and advising clients
- Be proactive with the ability to prioritise own workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Good working knowledge of standard office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel and ability to use HR Online Systems
- Clean driver’s licence and own vehicle
