Hanson Wade is a fast-growing business intelligence provider working in the Life Science sector. Our mission is to support the industry in getting better drugs to patients faster through information products that deliver market insights and research intelligence. Alongside extensive event portfolios and SaaS-based pipeline tools we are now launching a market research business to expand the range of services we support the biopharma market with.
We are looking for a HR Manager who will be accountable for business partnering support whilst working with the Group HR Director to define priorities that align with the experience we want to create for our people.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
- Provision of people insights and business parting to leadership and management teams.
- Support people managers with addressing ER matters quickly and effectively, providing expertise regarding employment legislation, compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Support with the quarterly performance review cycles where needed.
Employee Experience
- Responsible for conducting and analysing exit interviews and 3-month check-ins, providing insight on how to improve the employee experience to both HR teams and the wider business on a quarterly basis, taking the lead where appropriate in the delivery of any recommendations.
- Take a lead in defining a seamless employee experience we want to create for our people throughout the employee life cycle.
- Working with the wider HR team you will be responsible for bringing our employer brand and employee value proposition to life through the lived experiences of our employees.
- Support and collaborate with the Employee Engagement and Communications Manager to the roll-out of the bi-annual engagement survey, with participation levels of >80%, using the feedback to continuously improve the employee experience.
- Working with our Employee Engagement and Communications Manager, set up an employee forum where two-way discussions are facilitated to foster feedback including on any proposed changes.

Education and experience:
- Previous experience of working in an HR/People generalist role at an Advisor or HR Manager level, gained in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Practical knowledge of HR best practice policies and procedures in the UK.
- Solid experience in leading on complex ER cases.
- Experience in curating and delivering a world-class employee experience, the impact of which can be evidenced by data.
- CIPD Level 5 Qualification.
- Experience of using Reward Gateway employee benefits platform (desirable).
