About the role:
Through collaboration and engagement with department heads and other key stakeholders, ABA’s Human Resources Manager will report directly to the Chief of Staff and will manage the HR team, work collaboratively with leadership, and other internal teams through operational human resource management, to support organisational business and people requirements that align with ABA’s overall strategy and the development of a rewarding and high-performance culture.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Human resources & recruitment operational requirements and team members.
- Provide advice and input to the senior leadership team on HR/ Workforce management developments, options and opportunities that will support organisational success.
- Report compliance, benchmarking, statistical or forecasting information and analysis as required.
- Successfully oversee, develop, and manage the team in the process of sourcing, interviewing, and engaging the right candidates for each role. managing any required changes/ updates to the process.
- Oversee, develop, and manage the HR team to ensure staff induction process achieves expected onboarding results consistently.
- Successfully oversee, develop, and manage performance management process with effective handling of performance issues/ concerns and career development opportunities.
- Coach ABA leaders in relation to performance management, employment law, ABA’s employment terms & people management.
- Manage the process of surveying and analysing the workplace atmosphere and culture whilst successfully ensure continues improvement.
- Ensure ABA is compliant with all employment law, governing body requirements and tier 2 sponsorship license obligations.
- Ensure there are effective and efficient HR business processes, record management and retrieval systems in place and in operation.
- Successfully manage and oversee Internal compliance tracking and results such as DBS checks, mandatory training etc. for all staff.
- Manage termination of employment arrangements, voluntary and involuntary and any related post-employment responsibilities including conducting exit interviews if applicable.
- Liaise with external key HR partners such as: Job Board representatives, identified EAP service provider etc.
- Develop & publish staff communications on a regular basis/ as required.
- Work closely with ABA’s payroll team to ensure staff renumeration is paid correctly and meets minimum employment law legislation.
- Maintain a contemporary suite of employment contract templates and related conditions. Includes updating contracts for existing and new staff as required.
- Oversee, develop, and manage a performance review/ appraisal process that drives high performance.
- Undertake training and other professional development as required.
- Enhance Absolute’s human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, practises/ procedures and systems.
- Cultivate professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
- Counsel and discipline of employees where required, including planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Work with the Chief of staff to maintain a suite of clear, coherent ‘plain English’ policies and procedures, consistent with legal and organisational requirements.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Experience in HR Manager role, managing a HR team.
- Bachelor degree or higher in Human resource management.
- Experience in managing an organisations tier 2 sponsorship license and the admin involved.
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a people-centric approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
