Amentum is hiring an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to lead our Commercial business line human resources team. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources. The Sr. Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overall management of the HR function for the entire business line. Duties encompass development and implementation of human resource strategy, management, and initiative(s).
Responsibilities include:
- Partner with business unit(s) management in the achievement of business goals and in the development and implementation of supporting human resource strategy and initiatives.
- Proven leadership and experience managing effective relationships and communicating with management at all levels. Serve as a coach to Managers and Front-Line Leaders.
- Ensure employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved.
- Expected travel 25% to various customer sites.
- Promote a positive work culture by driving team engagement initiatives and employee advocacy.
- Ensure HR operational requirements are met for the business unit(s).
- Lead and manage subordinates including assignment and monitoring of work, development, communication, reward, and recognition and managing overall performance.
- Manage the employee performance management and compensation process within the business unit(s)
- Facilitate leadership succession planning.
- Support Division, Group and/or business unit(s) incentive plan(s)
- Support, facilitate and/or conduct employee development efforts.
- Identify new development requirements to support business goals and objectives.
- Implement processes and promote employee communication and rewards and recognition efforts throughout the business unit(s)
- Develop, implement, and oversee efforts to promote diversity, outreach efforts and compensation equity.
- Monitor implementation of the business unit(s) Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs) to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Ensure management awareness of areas of under-utilization and goals through communication and training; monitor and communicate progress.
- Communicate and provide guidance to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field plus twelve years of diverse HR experience with at least three years of HR management experience and/or Employee Relations.
- Excellent communication skills, working knowledge of integrated software applications and organizational skills are required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, hiring, and developing employees.
- HR Certification preferred.
