Open-Ended Contract - Permanent
We are looking for a customer-focused HR Helpline Assistant, who will help us to deliver first line HR query management across the University of Edinburgh, providing expert service, consistent advice and the best experience for our staff when they need HR support.
The Opportunity:
You will contribute to a flexible and resilient service by developing proficiency in multiple disciplines within the HR service.
You will deliver consistently excellent customer service experience, resolving multi-channel HR general enquiries first time, via service requests or email, and triaging more complex enquiries to resolution and escalating where appropriate.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Excellent customer service skills with proven experience of delivering a professional, high quality, customer focused service
- Agility and skills to be able to explain technical issues to internal customers in simple, easy to understand language
- The ability to act on own initiative to address issues, escalating where appropriate
- A strong work ethic, demonstrating extra effort when required
- Asks for and acts on feedback, learning from experience and continuing to develop own professional skills and knowledge
