A global wholesale business is looking to recruit for a senior HR professional to join an executive team that is driving organisational design and transformational business change as a people lead. The company has been established for hundreds of years and produces a number of different brands that are world renowned and recognised across the world. They employ over 3,000 people globally and have offices in ten countries worldwide. They are one of the most financially secure organisations in its market and have embarked on a global project to bring about a consistent business model across its entire operation.
The role of people lead is equivalent to a head of HR in most organisations. The main purpose of the role is to take the lead on ensuring that the company’s operating model across the people function is fit for purpose and is consistent across the entire global estate. You will work closely with the executive board and advisory board to bring about a standardised way of working in relation to recruitment, talent management and learning and development. You will partner with HR directors across four business units to ensure that ways of working are fit for purpose in each market and are landed successfully across each business unit, whilst ensuring that the global strategy ensures that company goals are achieved.
The successful applicant will be currently operating at a senior HR business partner or head of HR level within a consumer facing environment. You will have demonstrable experience in being able to create organisational change and development within a fast paced, complex, matrix organisation. You’ll also be able to show how this has not only been delivered but also landed successfully over a period of time. This role partners within executives across the organisation therefore an ability to influence at a board level is vital to the success of the role. You’ll have excellent communication skills, along with a curious approach to work in order to identify new opportunities to drive improvements.
In return the company is offering a basic salary of £120,000 with a £7,000 car allowance and the opportunity to earn up to £26,000 in bonus. The business operates a hybrid working model with two days working from home. The office is set in a beautiful location with an on-site, subsidised restaurant and bar. The succession plan for this role would be to become an HR director within another business unit after two years. Perfect for someone to progress their career.
