Meraki Talent is engaged with a reputable financial services firm to appoint an HR Generalist to their experienced and successful Human Resources Team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Glasgow City Centre and offers a salary between £35,000-£40,000.
The purpose of the HR Generalist is to provide guidance and support to managers in handling employee relations issues, such as conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions. They would also assist in managing employee performance, including setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and addressing performance concerns.

The purpose of the HR Generalist is to provide guidance and support to managers in handling employee relations issues, such as conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions. They would also assist in managing employee performance, including setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and addressing performance concerns.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recruitment and selection including creating job descriptions, advertising job openings, reviewing CVs and conducting interviews
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring these policies are aligned with legal requirements and best practices.
- Establishing relationships with recruitment agencies or staffing firms to assist in finding suitable candidates for open positions.
- Handling complaints and disciplinary procedures
- PC literacy including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- Keen interest in HR and keen to progress. Eager to learn
- Able to build good relationships with work colleagues
- Have driven and enthusiasm and demonstrate practice and behaviours in line with the core values of the Designer Group
- Able to deal with sensitive situations
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of organisational ability
- Able to use own initiative in decision making. Enjoys problem-solving
- A ‘can-do attitude
- The ability to support the transition of the People team and manage change and some degree of ambiguity that comes with cultural and organisational change.
