Position Summary: As a People Operations Generalist you will play a key role in supporting various People Ops functions within the organization. You will be responsible for payroll administration, benefits management, leave administration, and the administration of company policies and practices.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee global payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with global schedules, local laws, and regulations.
- Coordinate and validate payroll data, including employee hours, salaries, bonuses, commissions, benefits, and deductions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and liaise with all payroll vendors, and Catalyst Corporate Finance.
- Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding all benefit plan-related inquiries including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Provides guidance and support to employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, and programs, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate People Operations team member.
- Creates and maintains Employee Personnel files ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Collaborates with People Operations Business Partners, managers, and employees to facilitate the leave of absence process including coordinating payroll/benefits and tracking in the HRIS system.
- Ensures all federal and state Unemployment Insurance/Payroll Tax inquiries are researched and responded to accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Provide general administrative support to the department as needed.
- Performs all other duties/special projects as assigned.

Position Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in human resource management
- 1-2 years’ experience in payroll processing
- Experience in a Generalist role preferred
Required Certifications: SHRM CP/SCP Preferred
Required Skills:
- Solid understanding of laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to Payroll and Employment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in using an HRIS.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
